Andrew Leon Hanna, co-founder

Andrew Leon Hanna is an award-winning entrepreneur, professor, author, and lawyer. Andrew co-founded Mona to help drive socioeconomic mobility for entrepreneurs around the world. His book on refugee entrepreneurs, 25 Million Sparks (Cambridge University Press), was named a Financial Times Best Book of the Year. He co-created the DreamxAmerica film on PBS, which was nominated for a Chicago Emmy® Award and honored on the Fast Company World Changing Ideas List. Andrew was previously a consultant at McKinsey & Co., where he advised Fortune 500 companies, and served in the White House and Justice Department. In addition to Mona, Andrew is currently a professor at UChicago Booth, senior fellow at Social Finance, Kiva U.S. advisory board member, and founding team member of Sora (loan platform acquired by Flourish/MassMutual). Andrew holds an MBA from Stanford GSB, a JD from Harvard Law School, and an AB from Duke. He has been named to Forbes 30 Under 30, and his work has been featured in the BBC, PBS, Fast Company, and more.
