As part of the first-ever Global Citizen NOW: Detroit summit held today at the new Hudson’s Detroit development, a coalition of local, national, and global organizations – Mona, the Michigan Black Business Alliance, E. Warren Development Corporation, Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation, and Detroit Future City – announced the launch of the “Detroit Access to Capital Initiative” to support small business entrepreneurs across the city.

Today, social venture Mona announced that its partnership with crowdfunding platform Kiva and DreamxAmerica has reached a new milestone: $500,000 in zero-interest loans distributed to small businesses across the United States – primarily to immigrant, refugee, and women entrepreneurs.
