Mona Impact Grant: Meet the inaugural winner – Three Little Ducks

Small businesses are making an extraordinary impact in communities across the country. They are often closest to the problems they’re solving – bringing deep local insight, creativity, and determination to challenges that larger systems overlook.

The Mona Impact Grant received 3,500+ applications from founders working on critical challenges – expanding access to education, financial tools, community resources, healthcare, and services that help people live healthier, more stable lives. We’re grateful to every entrepreneur who applied and for the work they’re doing to serve their communities.

We are thrilled to celebrate Three Little Ducks as the winner of the inaugural Mona Impact Grant.

Founded by Dr. Suma M., Three Little Ducks is a pediatric health and development company based in Oahu, Hawaii, operating the island’s largest pediatric physical therapy practice and serving a community of one million people. Its work spans pediatric physical therapy, speech-language pathology, baby and toddler developmental classes, community programming, and a preventive digital platform grounded in years of real-world clinical observation and family feedback.

Three Little Ducks is addressing a critical gap in early childhood developmental support. Pediatric specialist waitlists in Hawaii routinely exceed six months, leaving many families without trusted guidance during the most consequential years of a child’s life.

The company serves caregivers of children ages 0-3, with a focus on geographically isolated communities, low-income families, and BIPOC families in Hawaii who face the greatest barriers to pediatric specialist access. Through clinic-based care, developmental classes, community programs, and digital tools, Three Little Ducks is helping families build confidence, support healthy development, and identify concerns earlier.

We’re honored to support Three Little Ducks as they expand access to preventive pediatric development and care in Hawaii while building infrastructure to serve underserved communities nationwide.
